IZZY The Artist (Ishaqq A. Rahim) is the Founder, CEO, and Creative Director of YOU R A CREATOR, Inc. (YRAC™). As an heir to the African American Muslim heritage and a product of the late Imam Warith Deen Mohammed's leadership, Izzy saw a need to promote a spirit of productivity and shared community life among Muslims. Hence the birthing of a diverse and fully engaged Muslim network online in 2008, where the theme is to collectively use God-given talents to create the ultimate Islamic experience. This experience, in his view, consists of a respect for varying perspectives, encouragement of every member to achieve their divine potential, unified work efforts, rich cultural expression, business development and worship through service, among other things.

Izzy states as his goal, "bringing people together for the common good", and fully believes each person plays a vital role in establishing a successfully-run community, organization or movement. He sees his role as being a "Keeper of The Peace", and doesn't seek to promote one particular ideology but rather an atmosphere of tolerance and genuine good will. Also central to his mission is a theme of personal accountability; where each individual is directly responsible for their environment and their personal and group destinies.

Izzy has been a force in Community Organizing locally with organizations such as Ohio Citizen Action. This experience taught him the art of directing human resources and galvanizing enthusiasm for common goals. It also gave him the drive to spearhead personal causes in a way that would reduce the bureaucratic liabilities that limit true progress in such entities. With YRAC, Izzy is hoping to thoroughly penetrate the communities it's members serve and be a driving force for real and lasting change.

I want to come into the faith but I have no leader. I was in the Catholic Church but the person who was helping me decided he would go to another Church. I have no Masques around me and I have found that Mississippi is a hard place to find fellow Muslims. Is there any way you could help? I would be willing to help you in any way I can. I help create a couple of organizations at The University of Southern Mississippi.
