IZZY The Artist (Ishaqq Rahim) is the Founder and Director of YOU R A CREATOR Inc, (YRAC™). As a child of the African American Muslim experience and a product of the late Imam Warith Deen Mohammed's leadership, Izzy saw a need to preserve and promote a spirit of productivity and shared community life among Muslims. Hence, in 2008, the birthing of a diverse and fully engaged Muslim network online, where the theme is the collective use of God-given talents to create the ultimate progressive Islamic experience. This experience, in his view, consists of respect for varying perspectives, the encouraging of every member to achieve their divine potential, unified work efforts, rich cultural expression, business development and support, and worship through service, among other things. Izzy states as his goal, "bringing people together for the common good", and fully believes each person plays a vital role in the establishment of a successfully-run community, organization or movement. He sees himself as a "Keeper of The Peace", and doesn't seek to promote one particular Islamic ideology but rather an atmosphere of tolerance and genuine good will. Also central to his mission is encouraging personal accountability; with each individual being directly responsible for their environment and their personal and communal destinies. Izzy has participated in community service efforts at the local level with organizations such as Accorn and Ohio Citizen Action. This experience was instrumental in teaching him the art of directing human resources and galvanizing enthusiasm for stated objectives. It also gave him the drive to spearhead personal causes in a way that would reduce the bureaucratic liabilities that limit bottomline achievement in such organizations. With YRAC, Izzy is hoping to thoroughly penetrate the communities it's members serve; being a driving force for real and lasting change.
