"HAD WE bestowed this Qur’ān from on high upon a mountain, thou wouldst indeed see it humbling itself, breaking asunder for awe of God….
And [all] such parables We propound unto men, so that they might [learn to] think."
[59:21] Chapter 'Exile'

"Verily this Qur’an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward;

And to those who believe not in the Hereafter, (it announceth) that We have prepared for them a Penalty Grievous (indeed)."

Qur'an is the only Holy Book that is complete, since its relevelations to mankind nobody on earth ever change anything on it.

ASA Hamzah, you are doing fine.Just keep up the good work. We are simply dialoging. I take good advise from every Muslim. I seek and appreciate their experiences, comments, and view of situations in trying to be more effective with my family and community. That is in our Deen. The Quran says ,... those that decide their affairs by "shura baynihum," baynihum means "they partisipate." To avoid redundancy you have to keep reading and studying. The "broken record" syndrom will eventually lose it's originality and luster, and cease to be effective. We're sharing ideas. Shatian wants us to give up on our families, but we must never do that. He wants to destroy the vital human contacts in community life. And if we tire and give up, hell awaits us. Keep up the good and strong work. Alhamdullilah.

Oh, by the way, I wasn't responding to you or sister Sofia specifically. I was just speaking in general.

True brother, reminding is vital and essential. Allah reminds us constantly in the Quran.

The point I was trying to make is that even in the Quran, Allah uses different ways to remind us so that even though it is a reminder it is still given with a different and new feel and language.

But I agree with you, the religion is advice, so reminding people is fundamental. It all boils down to how we remind each other and whether we are using the most effective methods to achieve our goals.

With hardship comes ease. Inshallah Allah will make it easier for us. Ameen.

ASA Hamzah, I try hard to place my emphasis upon the big pitcure, and not get to bodged down with the apparent, the quick, and obvious. It takes five minutes to put on a long dress, a kufi cap, a thob. But how long does it take to get the heart pure, the intellect clear. It tkesa a life time. For instance, if you saw my teenagers in my neighborhood,.. my youth would probably look like any other teen in your community,.. they dress modest. However, they would, once they started to talk, you would see a difference. When it comes to their concepts and understanding of life, In their body of knowledge, their rational intellect, I think that is where you would observe a distinct difference,... their concepts as it relates to innocence, moral and spiritual consciousness, intelligence and rational consciousness, ect..

When you say that ones grows weary with hearing the same thing. The difference with me is that Allah says "remind the Believer." He says in that it may benefit. Every time they leave the house I ask Allah to help me say something to remind them of the great worth Allah has instilled and entrusted in them. And I will do that until I die. I will always remind them. What I don't do is follow them around, spying on them,.. rifling thru their phones and room for texts, contraband ect.. I trust they believe in "Insaan." Worship Allah as though you see him, even though you can't see Him, He sees you. I teel them not so much that their actions will disappoint me, but it displeases Allah that knows and sees everything.

Mashallah, sometimes people tend to be turned off by a message if they have already heard it time after time. It's just like watching reruns on a sitcom.

We should try to make an effort to find new and fresh meanings and ideas to relay to our young so they are constantly amazed and taken by surprise. This is similar to how the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, were. They were continuously being exposed to new and relevant Sunnas and verses that kept them attentive and excited. If we try to change our approach and constantly use new and relevant understandings of Quran and Sunna (not the laws) people will be more attentive to the message, especially younger people.

Also, before teaching children about what the Prophet said, they should first know who the Prophet is. In other words, we should teach them about the life and sacrifice of the Prophet before we tell them the commands and prohibitions that he gave us. Once they love the Prophet, they will naturally accept his commands.

Allah knows best.
